With Inquiry starting next week, 2B had their tuning in event today. The tuning in event is where the students are launched into inquiry with excitement and curiosity about their new project. The students were given a surprise by watching the opening of the Lion King the musical, which provoked discussion about stage performance. The students learnt the new word musical and created a list of things that they would need to create our own musical. The students were given the driving question of "How can we convey a message to the audience?". The students discussed what each of the words mean and how we could communicate a message to our audience.
After the class discussion 2B went down to the library for another surprise! Students got to try on costumes and act like different animals.They also played the game Fairy tale Fruit Salad where they had to act like different characters whilst changing seats! 2B are very excited about starting their Inquiry next week and they can't wait to show the school their very own musical!
