Dear Parents/ Guardians,
Welcome to our first 3A blog post of this Academic Year! Over the past three weeks, the Grade 3 students have been settling down into the new School routines and procedures, and as well as getting to used to their new teachers. Even though our main focus was "Welcome Back to School" over the past few weeks, all of the school subjects were being conducted as usual. Below are some school highlights of what we have been doing so far ;
Maths
In Math class, we have started the year by learning Multiplication Facts. We have summarized the rules of multiplication, and once again recalled that in multiplication the answer is the same even if the order of the multiplier and multiplicand is switched. We also learned that the symbol "=" is also called the equality sign, which also could mean that the size of numbers on the left end right are equal. Furthermore, we learned to decompose numbers and why it is necessary to decompose numbers. On top of that, we also understood that any number multiplied by 0 equals 0 and vice versa. The unit was supported by educational math games and end hands-on activities.
