Dear Parents/ Guardians,
Welcome to our first 3A & 3B blog post of this Academic Year! Over the past three weeks, the Grade 3 students have been settling down into the new School routines and procedures, and as well as getting to used to their new teachers. Even though our main focus was "Welcome Back to School" over the past few weeks, all of the school subjects were being conducted as usual. Below are some school highlights of what we have been doing so far ;
Global English
We started our first week with finding out where we are at and how well we can communicate in English. With a little informal assessment of English language skills, we found out that most of us are in good command of English for their level. We can share our thoughts and write our opinions with a little help of the teacher. We will continue shaping our English skills over the next year.
In addition, our first unit is about "Working Together" and currently, we are focusing on working as a team by learning Action words (move up and down, right and lets, slowly and quickly, turn, twist, ect.,) and words of encouragement, Don't give up! Let's try again! That's good! We've done it!
We also looked at present continues to describe events and at question words; where, what, how, and who... All of the activities are being supported by educational games and kinesthetic and team building activities.
